Darren Bent reveals what Henderson told him about Salah to defend the Liverpool star

Liverpool continue to deal with the aftermath of a heated exchange between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp during the weekend match against West Ham.

Since returning from injury in February, Salah has struggled with form, possibly experiencing the most challenging period of his Liverpool career so far.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are not overly concerned about the incident between Salah and Klopp, viewing it as a natural consequence of frustrations boiling over during a challenging time.

The Athletic's David Ornstein reported that the Reds see it as a minor issue that will be resolved quickly.

With only three games left in Klopp's tenure at Liverpool, it's essential for Salah and Klopp to move past this disagreement.

How the West Ham spat impacts Salah's future

Just as David Ornstein said that Liverpool aren't overly fussed with the incident and have likely already moved on, the club is actually ready to make moves to keep Salah at the club for longer than his current contract.

The best news we've received recently was the news that Liverpool are planning on holding talks with Salah when the season ends.

According to David Ornstein of the Athletic, Liverpool "expect Mohamed Salah to stay."

Talks will be held by FSG with the likes of Salah, van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold by incoming Sporting Director Richard Hughes.

His current contract expires in June 2025 so extending his contract now would be well-timed, indeed.
